In order to list your site with Google, Yahoo, and MSN you need to either download verification files, or include uniques codes in the meta tags to prove to the search engines that you are the rightful owner of the domain, and therefore are entitled to get more info on how your site appear under the searchengines.

This plugin enables you to put in the site verification code for both Google, Yahoo, and MSN, and hence save yourself a lot of work going forward.

I found an outdated plugin in the Joomla extensions library and tailored this.

Installation instructions:

1) Install plugin.

2) Insert your Google, Yahoo, and MSN verification codes.

3) Enable plugin.

4) Voila, your site verification should work ......................

As more and more people use their mobile devices to surf the internet I decided to setup a separate mobile site for my company which could work in parallell with my Joomla website.

I am of course aware that there are a lot of initiatives in the Joomla area with e.g. templates for Mobile etc. but for most people it is more appropriate with a separate mobile site.

I therefore looked for a suitable redirect extension on the net, and found one that was close enough to my requirements. I tailored and repackaged this plugin,and you are free to use it should you wish.

This plugin simply redirects users of mobile devices who are trying to access the website to a subdirectory  called "mobile". Hence the url: www.yourdomain.com/mobile

Installation instructions:

1) Create a subdirectory called "mobile" directly under the root of your site.

2) Upload your mobile site to this directory

3) Install plugin

4) Activate plugin

5) Voila, your mobile users should now be redirected to the mobile site......................
